The primary purpose of the program is to provide both classroom and practical learning experiences in the study of Sport and Recreation Management.

COAPRT Standard 7.01. - Students graduating from the program shall demonstrate the following entry-level knowledge: a) the nature and scope of the relevant park, recreation, tourism or related professions and their associated industries; b) techniques and processes used by professionals and workers in these industries; and c) the foundation of the profession in history, science and philosophy.

    Students shall demonstrate entry-level knowledge of the nature and scope of sport and recreation professions and the agencies that offer their programs.

    Students shall demonstrate entry-level knowledge of day-to-day management operations in sport and recreation professions.

    Students shall demonstrate the ability to plan and design therapeutic recreation services that facilitate targeted human experiences and that embrace personal and cultural dimensions of diversity.

    Simulated interventions - students practiced skills in small groups. Each group was able to administer the assessment three times before having to implement for the assignment.
  • Result:
    Student average was 79.5%.
